Salutations,

I express my deepest gratitude for your hospitality during my recent visit. As I mentioned at that time, I wished to select serious, diligent individuals to receive your guidance. After searching for suitable candidates, I have chosen two people: Takeda, who accompanied me the other day, and Mochizuki.

In the coming days, I will have Hideichi Nagaoka visit you to make the formal request on my behalf. Please convey all matters and instructions to him.

I am writing this letter to serve as a follow-up greeting regarding my recent visit and to make the aforementioned request.

Sincerely yours,
Jigoro Kano, October 28, Showa 5 (1930)

(To) Moritaka Ueshiba Dono
